Anderson Cooper and ex Benjamin Maisani living together to co-parent

Anderson Cooper and his ex-boyfriend Benjamin Maisani are living together in order to co-parent their 9-moth-old son Wyatt.

“We actually still live in the same house because we get along really well,” Cooper, 53, recently revealed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” adding, “It works out.”

Cooper explained Maisani, 48, is a great father.

“It was interesting because he wasn’t really sure he wanted to have a kid, which was one of the reasons we probably broke up,” the CNN anchor said. “But then he came around on the idea, and now he is just such a great parent.”

While the exes are getting along as roommates, Cooper admitted there was really no chance of reuniting as a couple.

“No. It’s not going to happen,” he told DeGeneres when asked if they would ever consider getting back together.

He did however share that he would consider having another baby.

“I think it’d be great for [Wyatt] to have a sibling,” he said, adding, “I’m not sure I could handle another.”

The pair welcomed their son via surrogate in April 2020.

“As a gay kid, I never thought it would be possible to have a child, and I’m grateful for all those who have paved the way, and for the doctors and nurses and everyone involved in my son’s birth,” he said at the time.

The newborn is named after Cooper’s father, Wyatt Cooper, who died when Anderson was 10.

“I hope I can be as good a dad as he was,” he had said.

In May that same year, Cooper revealed that the nightclub owner ex would co-parent despite their March 2018 split.

“We are still family to each other, and love each other very much. We remain the best of friends, and will continue to share much of our lives together,” Cooper said of their breakup.
